I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Urbanism at TU Delft (Chair of Spatial Planning and Strategy). My academic interests span across regional, urban and policy studies and include such topics as multi-level governance, EU and national regional and urban development policies, decentralization and regionalization, governance and spatial aspects of the energy transition, circular economy as well as transnational policy transfer. Geographically, my work tends to focus on Central and Southern European countries and more recently also on the Netherlands, China and Brazil. The research project, presented at this website, investigates the patterns of governance in urban regions through the prism of climate change policy. I have published in top journals in my field, such as Regional Studies or European Urban and Regional Studies. For a list of my publications click here.
